Application of TCM Penttone Therapy in Patients with Hyperthyroidism

Abstract：Objective:To study the application of penttone therapy in patients with hyperthyroidism.Method:120 patients with hyperthyroidism admitted to Linyi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2021 to June 2024 were divided into conventional group and penttone group,with 60 cases in each group.The routine group performed routine care,and the penttone group received basic treatment.The two groups were cared for 2 months.Before and after nursing care,sleep quality,psychological status,quality of life and nursing adherence were compared by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),HAMA,Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Depression Scale(HAMD),World Health Organization quality of survival scale(WHOQOL-BREF),and self-made adherence scale.Result:After the nursing care,the PSQI,HAMA and HAMD scores of the penttone group were lower than those of the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The WHOQOL-BREF score of the pentatonic group was higher than that of the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total compliance rate of nursing in the five-tone group was higher than the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of penttone therapy in the patients with hyperthyroidism can effectively improve the sleep quality,psychological condition,the quality of life and nursing compliance.
