Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of Chaihu Kegu Oyster Decoction in the treatment of esophageal reflux gastritis.Method:A total of 206 patients diagnosed with esophageal reflux gastritis admitted to the hospital from June 2022 to June 2024,were randomly assigned to two groups. The control group received rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets, while the study group was administered Chaihu Kegu Oyster Decoction in addition to treatment regimen of the control group. Both groups underwent an 8-week treatment period.Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome scores, severity of reflux disease, and esophageal motor function were assessed and compared between the two groups.Result:8 weeks after treatment, the study group exhibited significantly lower scores for acid reflux, retrosternal burning, upper abdominal discomfort, and noise compared to the control group(P<0.05).After 4 and 8 weeks treatment,RDQ scores in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).8 weeks after treatment, the amplitude of esophageal constriction waves was higher, the transmission speed of esophageal peristaltic waves was faster, and the average duration of esophageal constriction was shorter in the study group compared to the control group(P<0.05).The therapeutic effect was superior in the study group(P<0.05),with lower rates of adverse reactions and recurrence(P<0.05).Conclusion:Chaihu Kegu Oyster Decoction effectively improves esophageal motor function;alleviates clinical symptoms, such as acid reflux and upper abdominal discomfort;reduces recurrence rates;and demonstrates safety.
