A Clinical Study on the Efficacy of Yangxinxue Granules on the Treatment of Chronic Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction

Abstract：Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Yangxinxue Granules combined with regularmodern medicine on the treatment of chronic heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(HFpEF).Method:76 HFpEF patients treated in Qionglai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from September 2023 to September 2024 were selected as the study objects,and randomly divided into 1∶1 groups,with 38 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine,and the observation group was treated with Yangxinxue granule orally for 12 weeks.Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,6-Minute Walk Test(6MWT)distance,Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire(MLHFQ)scores,and the levels of N-terminal pro b-type Natriuretic Peptide(NT-proBNP),AngiotensinⅡ(AngⅡ),and Aldosterone(ALD)were compared between the two groups.The efficacy of TCM syndromes and drug safety was evaluated.Result:After treatment,TCM syndrome scores and MLHFQ scores were significantly reduced in both groups.The 6MWT distance increased,the improvement in the observation group was more obvious than that in the control group,and the differences was statistically significant(P<0.05).The effective rate of TCM treatment in the observation group was 92.10%,and that in the control group was 76.32%,the curative effect of TCM syndrome in the observation group was better than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of NT-proBNP,ALD and AngⅡ in the two groups were lower than those before,the observation group was lower than control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in AngⅡ level between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no serious adverse reaction between the two groups.Conclusion:The combined treatment of Yangxinxue Granules and Western medicine for HFpEF can inhibit the activity of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system(RAAS),improve cardiac function,enhance exercise tolerance and quality of life,and achieve good clinical efficacy and safety.
