Efficacy of Omalizumab Combined with Budesonide Formoterol in the Treatment of Allergic Asthma and Its Effect on Serum Inflammatory Factors,MMP-9 and TIMP-1 Levels

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of omalizumab combined with budesonide formoterol in the treatment of allergic asthma(AA).Method:A total of 112 AA patients admitted to The Third People,s Hospital of Jingzhou from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 56 cases in each group.The control group was treated with budesonide and formoterol powder inhalation,and the observation group was treated with omazumab on the basis of budesonide and formoterol powder inhalation.Both groups were treated for 16 weeks.Before and after treatment,the scores of Asthma Control Test(ACT)and Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire(AQLQ)were observed.The pulmonary function indexes,serum inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-1β(IL-1β)]and airway remodeling indexes[matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9),matrix metalloproteinase-1(TIMP-1)]were measured in both groups.The efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group.After treatment,compared with control group,ACT score and AQLQ score in observation group were significantly decreased,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC)and peek expiratory flow(PEF)were increased,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the serum levels of IL-6,IL-1β,MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Omazumab combined with budesonide and formoterol is effective in the treatment of AA,which can effectively reduce the level of inflammation,inhibit airway remodeling and improve lung function.
