Application of Bundled Nursing Based on Neil Noddings'Care Theory in Children with Severe Pneumonia Complicated with Respiratory Failure and Tracheal Intubation

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of bundled nursing based on Neil Nodding's care theory in children with severe pneumonia complicated with respiratory failure and tracheal intubation.Method:A total of 88 children with severe pneumonia complicated with respiratory failure who underwent endotracheal intubation treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from May 2023 to June 2024 were selected.They were randomly divided into control group(conventional nursing)and study group(bundled nursing based on Neil Nodding's care theory on the basis of the control group)using a random number table method,with 44 cases in each group.The clinical symptoms,blood gas indicators,negative emotions in children,quality of life,and parental satisfaction rate of the two groups were compared.Result:The symptom relief time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of parental care in the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention,the score of Children's anxiety disorder screening form(SCARED),Children's depression disorder self-rating scale(DSRSC)and arterial blood carbon dioxide pressure(PaCO2)were decreased in both groups,pH(pH),partial pressure of arterial blood oxygen(PaO2),Saturation of arterial blood oxygen(SaO2)and universal core scale of child quality of life(PedsQLTM4.0)scores of children's quality of life were increased,those in study group were better than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Children with severe pneumonia complicated with respiratory failure and tracheal intubation receiving bundled nursing based on Neil Noddings'care theory can improve blood gas indicators and negative emotions,enhance their quality of life,promote their recovery,and have a high satisfaction rate with parental care.
