Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of paradoxical intention training combined with emotional release techniques on elderly patients undergoing cataract surgery.Method:From January to December 2023,126 elderly patients undergoing cataract surgery in Wuhan Aier Hongshan Eye Hospital were selected and randomly divided into control group(n=63)and observation group(n=63).The control group received routine care, while the observation group received paraoloxical intention training combined with emotional release techniques on the basis of the control group. The physiological stress indexes, psychological stress, intraocular pressure, retinal venous circulation time, incidence of postoperative complications, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Result:After anesthesia,HR,DBP and SBP in the observation group were lower, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before intervention, there were no significant difference in psychological stress, intraocular pressure and retinal venous circulation time(P>0.05);after the intervention, the levels of state-trait anxiety scale state anxiety(STAI-S)and trait anxiety(STAI-T)in the observation group were lower, and intraocular pressure and retinal venous circulation time were better, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the total complication rate of the observation group was lower and the total nursing satisfaction was higher, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Paradoxical intention training combined with emotional release techniques can reduce physiological stress and psychological stress in elderly cataract surgery patients, lower the incidence of postoperative complications, facilitate postoperative recovery, and improve nursing satisfaction.
