Abstract:Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of reduced glutathione combined with propylthiouracil on hyperthyroidism(hyperthyroidism).Method:A total of 86 hyperthyroidism patients treated in Longyan Boai Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into control group(propylthiouracil)and observation group(combined with reduced glutathione)by random number table method, with 43 cases in each group.Thyroid function, inflammatory factors, oxidative stress, liver function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the levels of thyrotropin(TSH),free triiodothyronine(FT3),free thyroxine(FT4),interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-5(IL-5),glutathione peroxidase(GSH Px),superoxide dismutase(SOD),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),aspartate aminotransferase(SAT),and alanine aminotransferase(ALT)between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of TSH,GSH Px,SOD,ALP,ALT,and SAT increased in both groups, while FT3,FT4,IL-2,and IL-5 decreased, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of reduced glutathione and propylthiouracil in the treatment of hyperthyroidism can inhibit inflammatory response, reduce oxidative stress and liver damage, improve thyroid function, and has high safety.
