Efficacy of Sintilimab Combined with Lenvatinib in the Treatment of Advanced Primary Liver Cancer and Its Impact on Angiogenesis Indicators

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the efficacy of Sintilimab combined with Lenvatinib in the treatment of advanced primary liver cancer(PLC)and its impact on angiogenesis indicators.Method:A total of 82 patients with advanced PLC who admitted to Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital Bijie Hospital from January 2022 to February 2024 were selected as the research objects,they were divided into the control group(n=41)and the study group(n=41)by simple randomization method.The control group was treated with Lenvatinib,and the study group was treated with Sintilimab combined with Lenvatinib,two groups were treated for 2 courses.The disease control rate(DCR),angiogenesis indexes[angiopoietin-2(Ang-2),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),hypoxia inducible factor-1(HIF-1α),matrix metalloprotein-9(MMP-9)],immune indexes[CD4+,CD8+,natural killer cell(NK),CD4+/CD8+],liver function[total bilirubin(TBIL),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine transaminase(ALT)]and toxic and side effects were compared between two groups.Result:The DCR of the study group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after 2 courses of treatment,the levels of VEGF,Ang-2,HIF-1α,MMP-9,CD8+,TBIL,ALT and AST in two groups were lower than those before treatment,and those in the study group were lower than the control group,the levels of NK,CD4+and CD4+/CD8+in two groups were higher than those before treatment,and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there were no statistically significant differences in toxic side effects between two groups during treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Sintilimab and Lenvatinib can improve DCR of patients with advanced PLC,inhibit angiogenesis,improve immune function and liver function,and has high safety.
