Effect of Shenqi Qiangxin Decoction Combined with Western Medicine in the Treatment of Coronary Heart Disease,Heart Failure and Insomnia

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of Shenqi Qiangxin Decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of coronary heart disease,heart failure and insomnia.Method:Sixty patients with coronary heart disease,heart failure,and insomnia who visited Longyan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Xiamen University from January 2022 to March 2024 were randomly divided into western medicine group(30 cases)and combination group(30 cases).In the western medicine group,routine drugs combined with Diazepam were used to treat coronary heart disease,while the combination group received treatment with Shenqi Qiangxin Decoction in addition to the western medicine group.The treatment period was 2 months.The treatment effects,6-minute walking distance(6MWD),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),plasma brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),and Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),sleep indexes[sleep efficiency(SE),total sleep time(TST),and rapid eye movement(REM)]of the two groups were compared.Result:Before treatment,there were no significant difference in 6MWD,LVEF,BNP,PSQI,SE,TST and REM between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the therapeutic total effect rate of the combined group was better than that of the western medicine group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The 6MWD and LVEF of the combined group were higher than those of the western medicine group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of PSQI and BNP in combined group were lower than those in western medicine group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).SE,TST and REM in the combined group were higher than those in the western medicine group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Shenqi Qiangxin Decoction combined with western medicine can improve the treatment effect of patients with coronary heart disease,heart failure,and insomnia,and improve heart function and sleep status.
