Abstract:Objective:To study the clinical effect of pain point point press combined with stretching in the treatment of lumbar muscle strain.Method:A total of 90 patients with lumbar muscle strain who admitted to Longyan People's Hospital from February 2023 to April 2024 were selected as the study objects, they were divided into the acupuncture group(acupuncture therapy)and the massage group(massage therapy)and the pain point therapy combined group(pain point point press combined with stretching therapy)according to different treatment methods, with 30 cases in each group. The clinical efficacy, recurrence rate after 3 months and 6 months of treatment, the degree of psoas muscle pain before and after treatment[visual analogue scale(VAS)],lumbar dysfunction[Roland-Morris disability questionnaire(RDQ)]and range of lumbar motion among three groups were observed and compared.Result:The total clinical effective rate of the pain point therapy combined group was higher than those of the acupuncture group and the massage group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the recurrence rate of the pain point therapy combined group after 3 months and 6 months of treatment were lower than those of the acupuncture group and the massage group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the VAS score and RDQ score of the pain point therapy combined group after treatment were lower than those of the acupuncture group and the massage group, and the lumbar range of motion(lumbar extension, flexion and lateral flexion)were greater than those of the acupuncture group and the massage group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Pain point point press combined with stretching in the treatment of lumbar muscle strain can effectively alleviate the degree of lumbar muscle pain, improve lumbar dysfunction, increase the range of lumbar activity, and reduce the risk of disease recurrence, and the clinical effect is significant.
