Effect of Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction on Upper Limb Lymphedema Patients after Tumor Radiotherapy

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effect of Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction on upper limb lymphedema after tumor radiotherapy.Method:A total of 80 patients with radiotherapy upper limb lymphedema in the Oncology Department of Maoming People's Hospital from May 2021 to March 2023 were selected and divided into control group(n=40)and observation group(n=40)according to the random number table method.The control group performed the functional exercise.The observation group was given Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction on the basis of the control group.The treatment effects between the two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate of edema improvement and quality of life improvement in the observation group were better than those in the control group,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score after treatment,recurrence rate and incidence of adverse reactions were lower than those in the control group,and the recurrence time was later than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of lymphedema after radiotherapy with Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction has an ideal clinical effect,which can improve the clinical symptoms,reduce the recurrence rate,improve the quality of life,and has high safety.
