Clinical Value of Biparametric Magnetic Resonance Imaging in the Diagnosis of Prostate Cancer

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical value of Biparametric Magnetic Resonance Imaging(Bp-MRI)in the diagnosis of prostate cancer(PCa).Method:Seventy patients with prostate diseases admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the study objects.Bp-MRI,multi-parameter magnetic resonance imaging(Mp-MRI),and T2-weighted imaging combined dynamic contrast-enhanced(T2WI-DCE)were used by two physicians to perform prostate imaging reports and data system scores on patients under unknown pathological conditions, with pathological results as the gold standard. The diagnostic efficiency of PCa was compared and analyzed.Result:Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value(PPV),negative predictive value(NPV),Youden index and area under the curve(AUC)were 85.71,89.29,92.31,80.65,0.6901 and 0.883,respectively.The corresponding indexes of Mp-MRI were 83.00,92.86,94.59,78.79,0.7054 and 0.895.The corresponding values of T2WI-DCE were 71.43,85.71,94.59,78.79,0.6123 and 0.830.The comparison of AUC of Bp-MRI and T2WI-DCE of the three detection methods was significantly different(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the comparison of AUC between Bp-MRI and Mp-MRI among the three detection methods(P>0.05).Conclusion:Bp-MRI has high clinical value in PCa diagnosis, and its diagnostic efficacy is similar to Mp-MRI,but better than T2WI-DCE.It can be used as an effective PCa diagnostic tool and provide more accurate diagnostic basis for clinicians.
