Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of endovascular repair in Stanford type B aortic dissection patients across different age groups.Method:A total of 102 Stanford type B aortic dissection patients treated in Taizhou Second People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into the young and middle-aged group(age≤60 years old)and the elderly group(age>60 years old)according to age, with 51 cases in each group. Both groups received endovascular prosthesis. The general data, perioperative indexes, postoperative aortic remodeling and complication rate were compared between the two groups.Result:The operation time and intensive care time of the young and middle-aged groups were shorter, and the use of contrast agent was less, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before operation, the true cavity diameter of aortic isthmus and pulmonary artery bifurcation in the elderly group was smaller than that in the young and middle-aged group, and the false cavity diameter of aortic isthmus and pulmonary artery bifurcation in the elderly group was larger than that in the young and middle-aged group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).6 months after operation, the true cavity diameter increased and the false cavity diameter decreased in both groups, and the change amplitude was greater in the young and middle-aged group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of total complications was lower in the young and middle-aged groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Endovascular repair in middle-aged and young Stanford type B aortic dissection patients shows superior perioperative management outcomes, better postoperative aortic remodeling, and a lower complication rate.Age is a significant factor affecting treatment efficacy and safety.
