Abstract:Objective:Effect of doxycycline and methylprednisolone in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children.Method:A total of 190 children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia admitted to Jiawang District People's hospital from March 2023 to February 2024 were retrospectively selected as the observation objects of this study, and the were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods.95 children treated with azithromycin combined with methylprednisolone were named as the control group.Ninety-five cases of children treated with doxycycline combined with methylprednisolone were named observation group. The duration of clinical symptom remission, serum inflammatory factor levels, pulmonary function indexes and incidence of adverse reactions were compared.Result:The duration of clinical symptom remission and hospitalization in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,interleukin-6(IL-6),gamma-interferon(IFN-γ),C-reactive protein(CRP)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The maximum mid-expiratory flow rate(MMF),peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)and forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1)in observation group were higher than those in control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the comparsion of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Doxycycline combined with methylprednisolone for treatment of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia can not only shorten the remission time of clinical symptoms, reduce their inflammatory response, but also improve their lung function, with good safety and high clinical value, worthy of promotion.
