Abstract:Objective:To examine the treatment strategy's efficacy and safety in administering methylprednisolone sodium succinate injections beneath the mastoid periosteum in the retroauricular groove for patients with Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss(SSNHL).Method:From June 2022 to January 2024,118 patients with Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss(SSNHL)admitted to Wujin Hospital Affiliated to Jiangsu University were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into a control group and a trial group, with 59 cases in each group. The control group was treated with sodium phosphate dexamethasone injections, while the experimental group was treated with methylprednisolone sodium succinate injections. All patients were treated by injection to the retroauricular sulci mastoid periosteum. The changes of pure tone hearing threshold and hemorheology indexes before and after treatment were analyzed in the two groups, and the clinical effective rate and the incidence of adverse reactions during treatment were evaluated.Result:After treatment, the average listening valves in pure tone region, low frequency region and high frequency region of experimental group were lower than those in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the changes of whole blood high tangential viscosity, whole blood low tangential viscosity and plasma viscosity in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate of experimental group was higher than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the comparison of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:In the treatment with SSNHL,the efficacy of methylprednisolone sodium succinate injection treatment is better than dexamethasone, which can improve patients'hearing and blood indexes and has high safety.
