Abstract:Objective:To explore the relationship between blood glucose variability indexes such as blood glucose instability index(GLI),blood glucose variation coefficient(GLUcv),blood glucose standard deviation(GLUsd)and mean absolute blood glucose fluctuation(MAGE)and subclinical hypothyroidism(SCH)in type 2 diabetes(T2DM).Method:A total of 97 patients with T2DM in Xinglin Branch, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from December 2021 to December 2023 were selected and they were divided into simple T2DM group(n=60)and T2DM-SCH group(n=37)according to whether they were combined with SCH.The blood glucose variability indexes of the two groups were compared and their diagnostic value for SCH was analyzed.Result:The course of T2DM,total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),fasting insulin(FINS),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)in the T2DM-SCH group were higher than those in the simple T2DM group, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)was lower than that in the simple T2DM group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The GLI,GLUcv,GLUsd and MAGE in the T2DM-SCH group were significantly higher than those in the simple T2DM group(P<0.05).The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve suggested that the area under the curve(AUC)of GLI,GLUcv,GLUsd and MAGE in the diagnosis of SCH were 0.678,0.861,0.707 and 0.873,all of which had good diagnostic value(P<0.05).Conclusion:The increase in GLI,GLUcv,GLUsd,and MAGE indicators is a risk factor for T2DM combined with SCH,and has good diagnostic value for T2DM combined SCH.
