Abstract:Objective:To investigate the correlation between macular retinal thickness distribution with refractive error and axial length in adolescent with myopia.Method:Eighty adolescent myopia patients(160 eyes)in the Department of Ophthalmology,Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University from March 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the research objects, they were divided into low myopia group(16 cases,32 eyes),moderate myopia group(30 cases,60 eyes),high myopia group(18 cases,36 eyes)and ultra-high myopia group(16 cases,32 eyes)according to the range of spherical equivalent(SE).The axial length, diopter and retinal thickness of macular area(superior, nasal, central, inferior and temporal)were compared among four groups,Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between retinal thickness and diopter and axial length in five parts.Result:There were significant differences in the refractive error, axial length and central retinal thickness among four groups(P<0.05);there were no significant differences in the retinal thickness at other sites among four groups(P>0.05).The superior, inferior and temporal retinal thickness were positively correlated with refractive error and negatively correlated with axial length, the central retinal thickness was negatively correlated with refractive error and positively correlated with axial length(P<0.05);there were no significant correlation between nasal retinal thickness and both(P>0.05).Conclusion:The distribution of retinal thickness in the juvenile macular area of myopia is uneven, the central area is the thinnest, and the nasal side is the thickest, the retinal thickness of superior, inferior, temporal and central areas is significantly correlated with refractive error and axial length.
