Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of proximal femoral nail antirotation(PFNA)in elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur(IFF).Method:A total of 150 elderly patients with IFF who treated in Shuyang Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the research objects, the patients were divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method, with 75 cases in each group. The control group was given bone traction treatment, and the observation group was given PFNA treatment. The hip joint function, pain degree, postoperative complications and quality of life were compared between two groups.Result:The Harris hip score(HHS)score of the observation group at 3 months after operation was higher than that of the control group, and the visual analogue scale(VAS)score was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the scores of cognition, body, emotion, role and social function in the observation group at 3 months after operation were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:PFNA can improve the hip joint function of elderly patients with IFF,reduce the degree of pain, reduce postoperative complications and improve the quality of life.
