The Clinical Effect of Using Progesterone Capsules and Hysteroscopic Surgery in the Treatment of Elderly Endometrial Polyps

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of progetrienone capsule combined with hysteroscopic surgery in elderly patients with endometrial polyps(EP).Method:A total of 90 EP patients admitted to Beijing Huairou Hospital from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected as research objects and divided into study group and control group by random number table method,with 45 cases in each group.The control group was given hysteroscopic surgery,while the study group was given pregnatrienone capsule combined with hysteroscopic surgery.Endometrial thickness,levels of inflammatory factors,levels of sex hormones,postoperative complications and recurrence were compared between the two groups.Result:After operation,the endometrial thickness of the study group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After operation,the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-8(IL-8)in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After operation,the levels of luteinizing hormone(LH),progesterone(P)and follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The recurrence rate of the study group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The combined treatment of pregnrienone capsule and hysteroscopic surgery in elderly patients with EP has a good effect,which can reduce the endometrial thickness,improve the levels of inflammatory factors and sex hormones,reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications and reduce the risk of recurrence.
