The Efficacy of Gemcitabine Combined with Cisplatin in the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Advanced Lung Cancer and Its Effect on Quality of Life and Tumor Markers

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the clinical efficacy of gemcitabine combined with cisplatin in the treatment of elderly patients with advanced lung cancer.Method:120 elderly patients clinically diagnosed with advanced lung cancer admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University from April 2019 to October 2021 were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with gemcitabine,while the observation group was treated with gemcitabine combined with cisplatin.The clinical efficacy,quality of life before and after treatment and the level of tumor markers in the two groups were analyzed.Result:The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the disease control rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,CEA,CA125,NSE and CYFRA21-1 in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of anorexia,cough,chest pain,fatigue,shortness of breath,role function,body function,cognitive function,social function,overall health status and emotional function in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the scores of anorexia,cough,chest pain,fatigue,shortness of breath,role function,body function,cognitive function,social function,overall health status and emotional function in the observation group was higher than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The combination of gefitinib and cisplatin has been proven to be effective in the clinical treatment of elderly patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer,while also improving their quality of life.
