Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of metabolic vehicle measurement in elderly patients.Method:A total of 124 elderly patients with coronary heart disease hospitalized in the Second People's Hospital of Changshu City from January 2021 to June 2023 were selected and randomly divided into study group and control group, with 62 cases in each group. The resting energy expenditure of the patients in the study group was measured by metabolic vehicle assay, and targeted nutritional treatment was implemented, while the resting energy expenditure value of the patients in the control group was calculated by conventional Harris-Benedict(HB)formula,and nutritional treatment was implemented. The indexes of body mass index(BMI),prealbumin and transferrin before and after nutritional treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:The resting energy expenditure of the study group was higher than that of the control group before and after intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the upper arm circumference and calf circumference of the study group were higher than those of the control group, the index levels of BMI,prealbumin and transferrin were higher than those of the control group, and the triglyceride and total cholesterol were lower than those of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of digestive complications during hospitalization in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the proportion of patients with nutritional risk at discharge was significantly lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of metabolic car assay in elderly patients with coronary heart disease can improve the accuracy of the calculation of resting energy expenditure, provide a reliable quantitative reference index for patients with standardized nutritional treatment, and have significant effects in improving the nutritional status of patients and reducing the incidence of digestive complications.
