Clinical Study of Cefotaxime Combined with Ambroxol Hydrochloride in the Treatment of Neonatal Pneumonia

Abstract：Objective:This study aimed to investigate the clinical effects of cefotaxime combined with ambroxol hydrochloride in treating neonatal pneumonia.Method:64 children with neonatal pneumonia admitted to Jinjiang City Hospital(Fujian Hospital of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital)from October 2021 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into control group(given cefotaxime treatment)and observation group(given cefotaxime combined with ambroxol hydrochloride treatment)according to simple random number table method,with 32 cases in each group.All patients were treated for 7 days.The clinical efficacy and incidence of adverse reactions during treatment were compared between the two groups.The time of symptom resolution,blood gas index(PaO2,PaCO2)and the level of inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),C-reactive protein(CRP)and procalcitonin(PCT)]before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The clinical symptoms(pulmonary rales,cough,fever and dyspnea),and disappearance time in observation group were shorter than those in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the PaO2 level of the two groups was higher than that before treatment,and the PaCO2 level was lower than that before treatment.The PaO2 level of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the PaCO2 level was lower than that of the control group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of IL-6,CRP and PCT in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the levels of IL-6,CRP and PCT in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion:Cefotaxime combined with ambroxol hydrochloride in the treatment of neonatal pneumonia is beneficial to improve the clinical efficacy of children,improve blood gas indexes,reduce inflammatory response,and promote the health recovery of children,with high safety.
