Abstract:Objective:To investigate the correlation of Body Mass Index(BMI),Nutritional Risk Screening 2002 score(NRS2002)and serum albumin(ALB)level with anxiety and depression in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Method:Eighty patients with AECOPD admitted to the Second Hospital of Anhui Medical University from March 2022 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects.Height, weight, pulmonary function,Hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD),Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),nutritional risk screening 2002(NRS2002)and albumin were assessed in all subjects.Correlation analysis was performed between BMI,NRS2002,ALB and anxiety or depression.Result:There was no significant difference in the comparison of HAMD score and HAMA score with different AECOPD severity(P>0.05).The scores of HAMD and HAMA in low BMI group were higher than those in non-low BMI group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Correlation analysis showed that anxiety and depression were related to BMI,but not to NRS2002 score and ALB.Conclusion:The worse the nutritional status of patients with AECOPD,the higher the incidence of anxiety and depression.Among the commonly used clinical nutritional evaluation indicators, only BMI has certain clinical value.
