Abstract:Objective:To analyze the clinical effect of Budesonide combined with nasal endoscopic surgery on patients with sinusitis and nasal polyps and its impact on nasal function.Method:A total of 70 patients with sinusitis and nasal polyps who admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University from August 2018 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects, all patients were underwent nasal endoscopic surgery, they were divided into the non-combined group(non-combined with Budesonide,n=21)and the combined group(combined with Budesonide,n=49)according to whether they were combined with Budesonide after operation, the clinical efficacy, pain degree, nasal mucosal function, olfactory function and inflammation indexes were compared between two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the combined group was higher than that of the non-combined group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the visual analogue scale(VAS)scores at 12 h,24 h after operation and at discharge in the combined group were lower than those in the non-combined group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the Lund-Kennedy scores, olfactory function score,C-reactive protein(CRP)and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the combined group were lower than those in the non-combined group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Patients with sinusitis and nasal polyps treated with Budesonide combined with nasal endoscopic surgery, which can achieve ideal clinical results, and can quickly restore nasal function, with a better prognosis.
