Effectiveness and Safety of Non-invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation in Acute Heart Failure

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effectiveness and safety of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation in the treatment of patients with acute heart failure.Method:A total of 120 patients with acute heart failure who admitted to the Emergency Department of the Second Hospital,University of South China from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected as the study objects,the patients were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method,60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with standard treatment combined with nasal catheter oxygen inhalation,and the observation group was treated with standard treatment combined with non-invasive positive pressure ventilation,the therapeutic effect,blood gas index,myocardial injury markers and complications were compared between two groups.Result:The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the incidence of complications was lower than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05);after treatment,the oxygenation index,blood oxygen saturation and arterial oxygen partial pressure in two groups were higher than those before treatment,and those in the observation group were higher than the control group,the arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure,N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide precursor,creatine kinase isoenzyme and troponin levels in two groups were lower than those before treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The use of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation for acute heart failure patients can improve overall effective rate,improve blood gas status,promote myocardial injury recovery,and have higher safety.
