Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of Citicoline Injection combined with Piracetam on patients with traumatic craniocerebral injury.Method:A prospective study of 82 patients with craniocerebral injury admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery in Tingzhou Hospital in Fujian Province from June 2022 to June 2023 was conducted. They were divided into two groups by random number table method,41 cases in each group. The control group was given Piracetam, and the observation group was given Citicoline Injection on the basis of the control group. The oxidative stress index, neuronal damage degree, nerve damage repair index, nerve function, cognitive function before and after treatment and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment, malondialdehyde (MDA) and lipid peroxide (LPO) were decreased, and total antioxidant capacity (TAOC) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were increased in both groups,MDA and LPO in observation group were lower than those in control group, and TAOC and SOD were higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP),myelin basic protein (MBP) and neuronal specific enolase (NSE) in both groups were decreased, and GFAP,MBP and NSE in observation group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, heat shock protein-90 (HSP-90) and nerve growth factor (NGF) were decreased in both groups, and HSP-90 and NGF in observation group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment,National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) score decreased and mini mental state examination (MMSE) score increased in both groups, the NIHSS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the MMSE score was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:Citicoline Injection combined with Piracetam can alleviate oxidative stress reaction, reduce neuronal injury, protect nerve function and improve cognitive function in patients with craniocerebral injury, and has certain application value without serious adverse reactions.
