Abstract:Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of ambroxol hydrochloride combined with budesonide on mechanically ventilated patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Method:96 ARDS patients admitted to the Affiliated Hospital (Group) of Putian University from November 2022 to November 2023 were divided into a control group and a treatment group using a random number table method, with 48 patients in each group. The conventional group was treated with ambroxol hydrochloride on the basis of mechanical ventilation, while the treatment group was treated with budesonide on the basis of mechanical ventilation. The efficacy, blood gas indicators, inflammatory reactions and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Result:The clinical effective rate, arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO2),oxygenation index (FiO2/PaO2) and blood oxygen saturation (SaO2) of the treatment group were all higher than those of the control group. Interleukin-6 (IL-6),Interleukin (IL-8) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were lower than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The difference in comparison of the adverse reaction rates between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion:The combination of ambroxol hydrochloride and budesonide can improve blood gas indicators, reduce inflammatory reactions, improve treatment efficacy, and have good safety in ARDS mechanically ventilated patients.
