Abstract:Objective:To design and implement a combination therapy of azithromycin and methylprednisolone for children with severe mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia, and to explore its clinical efficacy. Method:From January 2022 to December 2023,100 children with severe mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia admitted to Guigang People's Hospital were selected as study objects. The children were divided into two the observation group and the control group according to different treatment plans, with 50 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with azithromycin combined with methylprednisolone, while the control group was only treated with azithromycin. The improvement of inflammatory factors, clinical efficacy and adverse reaction rate were evaluated, and the clinical effects of different treatment schemes were compared. Result:After treatment, the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interferon γ (IFN-γ) in observation group were lower than those in control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of the total incidence of adverse reactions between the observation group and the control group (P>0.05). Conclusion:Introducing the combination therapy of azithromycin and methylprednisolone into children with severe mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia has good clinical efficacy and safety, and can effectively improve the levels of inflammatory factors in children, with obvious advantage.
