Abstract:Objective:To identify the risk factors of re-fracture after percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP) in patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCF). Method:Databases including PubMed,the Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Embase,CINAHL,CNKI,VIP,Wanfang data and CBM. The search period was from the establishment of the database to August 2023,and meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. Result:A total of 30 articles were included. The meta-analysis showed that advanced age,low bone mineral density,no anti-osteoporosis treatment,long-term use of glucocorticoids, fracture history, fracture cone in the thoracolumbar junction, high recovery rate of cone height,a large number of fracture cones or surgical cones, large number of enhanced cones, bone cement not contacting the upper and lower endplates, excessive injection, clumpy distribution, and leakage were the risk factors for re-fracture after PKP. Conclusion:There are many risk factors for vertebral refracture after PKP in OVCF patients, which are mainly related to individual patient and surgical factors. The medical staff should implement targeted and individualized treatment and postoperative care based on the evaluation results of the patient's various conditions to prevent refracture of the vertebral body.
