Abstract:Objective:To analyze the risk factors associated with metabolism-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM),and to explore their value in patients with MAFLD combined with T2DM. Method:One hundred and eighteen patients with T2DM who were treated in the Department of Endocrinology,Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to December 2022 were included as study subjects. According to the ultrasound examination results, they were divided into T2DM group (n=58) and MAFLD group (n=60). Relevant data of enrolled patients were statistically analyzed and included in univariate analysis. Factors with statistical differences in univariate analysis were included in logistic regression analysis to further screen for independent risk factors associated with MAFLD patients with T2DM. Result:Body mass index (BMI),total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG),high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C),alanine aminotransferase (ALT),aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and the concentration ratio of triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) between the two groups were compared, and difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After multivariate logistic regression adjustment,BMI,AST and TG/HDL-C were independent risk factors for T2DM with MAFLD. Among them,TG/HDL-C has the highest OR value. Conclusion:TG/H-LDL is the best independent risk factor for MAFLD patients with T2DM,and has potential diagnostic value in the diagnosis of the disease, and has potential as a predictor of the development of MAFLD in patients with type 2 diabetes.
