Effect of Ear-point Compression Bean Combined with Emotional Intervention on Patients Undergoing Surgery for Thyroid Cancer

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of ear-point compression bean combined with emotional intervention on patients undergoing surgery for thyroid cancer.Method:A total of 150 patients undergoing surgery for thyroid cancer admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of the University of South China from August 2019 to December 2021 were selected.According to envelope method,they were divided into experimental group and reference group,with 75 cases in each group.The reference group was given routine nursing after operation,and the experimental group was given auricular point compression bean combined with emotional intervention on the basis of the reference group.Thyroid hormones,psychological symptoms,sleep conditions,negative emotions before and after nursing and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:After nursing,thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)decreased,free triiodothyronine(FT3)and free thyroxine(FT4)increased in both groups,and TSH in experimental group was lower than that in reference group,and FT3 and FT4 were higher than those in reference group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After nursing,the scores of symptom self-assessment scale(SCL-90)and Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)in the two groups were decreased,and the scores of SCL-90 and PSQI in the experimental group were lower than those in the reference group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After nursing,the scores of self-rating depression scale(SDS)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)were decreased in both groups,and the scores of SDS and SAS in experimental group were lower than those in reference group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in experimental group was lower than that in reference group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ear-point compression bean combined with emotional intervention can improve hormone levels,improve sleep quality and alleviate negative emotions in patients undergoing thyroid cancer surgery.
