Effect of TAPP on Pain Degree and Cor,TIMP-2 of Patients with Inguinal Hernia

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effect of laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal inguinal hernia repair(TAPP)on pain degree and cortisol(Cor),tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases-2(TIMP-2)of patients with inguinal hernia.Method:A total of 102 patients with inguinal hernia treated in the Fifth People's Hospital of Changshu City from January 2017 to December 2022 were selected.They were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method,51 cases in each group.The control group received traditional tension-free repair of inguinal hernia,and the observation group received TAPP.Perioperative indexes,pain degree at 1 h,6 h,12 h,24 h after surgery,preoperative and postoperative 24 h related indexes and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The intraoperative blood loss volume in the observation group was less than that in control group,and hospital stay was shorter than that in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were significant differences in visual analogue scale(VAS)between groups,time and interaction between the two groups(P<0.05).Compared with 1 h after surgery,VAS scores at 6 h and 12 h after surgery in the two groups were increased;VAS score at 24 h after surgery in the control group increased;compared with 6 h after surgery,VAS scores at 12 h and 24 h after surgery in the two groups were decreased;compared with 12 h after surgery,VAS scores at 24 h after surgery in the two groups were decreased;VAS scores at 6 h,12 h and 24 h after surgery in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 24 h after surgery,Cor level increased and TIMP-2 level decreased in the two groups,and TIMP-2 and Cor levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with traditional tension-free repair of inguinal hernia,TAPP treatment for inguinal hernia can reduce intraoperative blood loss volume,shorten hospital stay,relieve patients'pain,regulation of the Cor,TIMP-2 levels,and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
