Abstract:Objective:To analyze the imaging features of transcranial Doppler ultrasound(TCD)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in patients with schizophrenia.Method:Seventy patients with schizophrenia admitted to Xiamen Xianyue Hospital from January 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the schizophrenia group, and 70 healthy patients who underwent physical examination at the same period were selected as the health physical examination group. Both groups received TCD and MRI examination. The average blood flow velocity of left and right posterior cerebral artery(PCA),left and right middle cerebral artery(MCA),left and right anterior cerebral artery(ACA),left and right vertebral artery(VA)and basilar artery(BA)were compared between the two groups. The gray matter density of the brain in left and right head of caudate nucleus, left anterior cerebellar lobe, left posterior cerebellar lobe and bilateral thalamus were compared between the two groups. The typical imaging picture of patients with schizophrenia was analyzed.Result:The average blood flow velocity of left and right sides PCA,MCA and ACA in the health physical examination group were higher than those in the schizophrenia group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),while the average blood flow velocity of BA and left and right sides VA were not statistically significant between the two groups(P>0.05).The gray matter density of brain in the left head of caudate nucleus, the right head of caudate nucleus, the left anterior cerebellar lobe, the left posterior cerebellar lobe and the bilateral thalamus in the healthy physical examination group were higher than those in the schizophrenia group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The difference of intracranial arterial blood flow velocity between patients with schizophrenia and normal population can be judged by TCD examination, and the difference of gray matter density of brain between patients and normal population can be judged by MRI examination.
