Abstract:Objective:To investigate the influence of peripherally inserted central venous catheter(PICC)under multi-probe ultrasound guidance on elderly patients.Method:A total of 114 elderly patients treated in Qionglai Medical Center Hospital from June 2019 to April 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method,57 cases in each group. The control group was given PICC under conventional ultrasound guidance, and the observation group was given PICC under multi-probe ultrasound guidance.Catheter tip related indexes,PICC related indexes and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The one-time catheterization accuracy rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group, and the rate of catheterization overdepth was significantly lower than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The success rate of one-time puncture and one-time catheterization in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the catheterization operation time was shorter than that in the control group, and the puncture blood loss volume was significantly better than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications after PICC in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:PICC under multi-probe ultrasound guidance can significantly improve the one-time catheterization accuracy of catheter tip, obtain better catheterization effect, and significantly reduce the risk of complications.
