Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical effect of Edaravone and Dexborneol in the treatment of acute progressive large artery atherosclerosis(LAA)cerebral infarction.Method:The clinical data of 100 patients with acute progressive LAA cerebral infarction admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from November 2021 to April 2023 were retrospectively selected. They were divided into control group(n=50)and observation group(n=50)according to different treatment regimens. The control group was given conventional treatment, and the observation group was given Edaravone and Dexborneol treatment on the basis of the control group.Oxidative stress indexes, inflammatory factors, neurological function before and after treatment, prognosis condition and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment, glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)level in observation group was higher than that in control group, and reactive oxygen species(ROS)level was significantly lower than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP-9)in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 months after treatment, the National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS)and modified Rankin scale(mRS)scores were decreased in both groups, and the NIHSS and mRS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Edaravone and Dexborneol can effectively inhibit oxidative stress reaction and inflammation reaction in the treatment of acute progressive LAA cerebral infarction patients, promote the repair of damaged nerve function, improve prognosis, and do not increase the occurrence of adverse reactions.
