Effect of Budesonide Nasal Spray Combined with Cefuroxime on Secretory Otitis Media

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of Budesonide Nasal Spray combined with Cefuroxime on secretory otitis media(SOM).Method:A total of 76 SOM patients admitted to Nanping First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into observation group and control group,38 cases in each group.The control group was given Cefuroxime treatment,and the observation group was given Budesonide Nasal Spray on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,effusion of ear and serum inflammatory factors,hearing index before and after treatment and time index were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.37%,which was higher than 84.21%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of ear effusion,serum procalcitonin(PCT)and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The time of tinnitus disappearance and hearing recovery in the observation group were earlier than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the air conduction average listening valve of speech frequency in observation group was lower than that in control group,and the peak pressure value of ear and static sound compliance value were higher than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Budesonide Nasal Spray combined with Cefuroxime is effective in the treatment of SOM,which is beneficial to the reduction of inflammatory factors in the body and can effectively improve the hearing function of patients.
