Clinical Effect of Huatan Tongluo Decoction in the Treatment of Patients with Post-stroke Cognitive Impairment of Phlegm Stasis Obstructs Collaterals

Abstract：Objective:To explore the clinical effect of Huatan Tongluo Decoction in the treatment of patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment(PSCI)of phlegm stasis obstructs collaterals.Method:From April 2022 to March 2023,A total of 60 patients with PSCI of phlegm stasis obstructs collaterals who admitted to the Affiliated People's Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the research objects,the patients were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the simple random grouping,30 cases in each group.Two groups were given basic treatment,the treatment group was treated with Huatan Tongluo Decoction combined with Nimodipine,and the control group was treated with Nimodipine,two groups were treated continuously for 28 d.The Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)score,traditional Chinese medicine symptom score,magnetic resonance imaging diffusion tensor imaging(DTI)fractional anisotropy(FA),axial diffusivity(AD),radial diffusivity(RD)and clinical efficacy were compared between two groups.Result:Before treatment,there were no significant differences in total MoCA score,visuospatial execution ability,attention,delayed recall,name,orientation score,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,FA,DR and AD between two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,the total MoCA score,visuospatial execution ability,attention,delayed recall,name,orientation score and FA in two group were higher than those before treatment,while traditional Chinese medicine symptom score,DR and AD were lower than those before treatment,and the levels of improvement in the treatment group were better than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Huatan Tongluo Decoction can promote white matter fiber repair of patients with PSCI of phlegm stasis obstructs collaterals,improve cognitive dysfunction,enhance visual spatial execution ability,attention,delayed recall,name,orientation function,and improve the overall cognitive function level of PSCI patients with phlegm and blood stasis obstruction.
