The Evaluation of Medical Examination for Epileptogenic Focus Localization in 28 Patients with Epilepsy
Abstract:Objective:To compare the results of scalp video electroencephalography(VEEG),magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),single proton emission computed tomography/computed tomography(SPECT/CT) in patients with epilepsy and to explore their application values in the localization of epileptogenic focus. Method:All the patients had the examination of VEEG,MRI and SPECT/CT,the positive detection rates were observed.Result:The positive detection rate of SPECT/CT or VEEG was significantly higher than that of MRI(P<0.05).The positioning accuracy rate of MRI or SPECT/CT was significantly higher than that of VEEG (P<0.05).Conclusion:The sensitivity and accumcy of SPECT/CT in localizing the seizure focus are significantly higher than those of MRI and VEEG.
