The Experience of Application of Pidotimod in the Treatment of Children Recurrent Respiratory Infection

Abstract：Objetive:To explore the value of Pidotimod in the treatment of children recurrent respiratory infection.Method:120 cases of recurrent respiratory infection children who were diagnosed and treated in our department from October 2012 to October 2013 were selected as the objects and randomly divided into two groups,60 cases in each group.The control group received the conventional treatment such as anti-infection and spasmolysis,the experimental group received conventional treatment plus Pidotimod disket for 2 months,the curative effect of the two groups were observed after followed up for six months. Result:The total effective rate of the experimental group was 93.3%,which was 75.0% of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Compared with the control group,the fever clearance time,the disappearance time of pulmonary rales and the course of disease were significantly decreased in the experimental group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:As an adjuvant therapy,the therapeutic effect of Pidotimod is obvious for the recurrent respiratory infection,it is worthy of clinical promotion.
