The Analysis on Abnormal Results of the Occupational Physical Examination for 1674 Workers Exposed to Benzene in Zhuhai City

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the main abnormal results of the occupational physical examination for different sex workers exposed to benzene. Method:One thousand six hundred and seventy-four workers exposed to benzene(which included 1357 cases of male,317 cases of female) in our hospital from December 2010 to December 2015 were selected and their occupational physical examinations were comparative analyzed.Result:The detection rate of occupational contraindications was 3.7% for male,and 4.7% for female;The detection rate of the suspected occupational disease was 1.3% for male and 2.8% for female.The main abnormal results was the abnormal of routine blood which was 16.1% for female,and 5.6% for male,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The difference of blood pressure measurement results and abnormal ECG detection situations had no statistically significant differences between different sex(P>0.05).Conclusion:The effect of benzene exposure on the blood system of female workers is significantly higher than that in male workers.While there is no obvious difference for the effect on the blood pressure and cardiovascular system in short term.
