The Clinical Study of Azithromycin in the Treatment of Children with Lower Respiratory Tract Infection

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of Azithromycin in the treatment of lower respiratory infections in children.Method:From April 2012 to April 2013,92 cases of respiratory tract infection children in our hospital were selected.They were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, 46 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Cefuroxime,the observation group was treated with Azithromycin.The clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared.Result:The total effective rate of the control group and the observation group was 80.4%,97.8% respectively.Compared with the control group,the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions of the control group and the observation group was 13.0%,4.3% respectively.Compared with the control group,the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly less(P<0.05).Conclusion:Children with lower respiratory tract infection with Azithromycin has a good effect,it is worth to be recommended.
