Analysis on Epidemic Characteristics of Tuberculosis in Guangling District of Yangzhou from 2010 to 2014

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the tuberculosis(TB) incidence in Guangling District of Yangzhou from 2010 to 2014,to understand the epidemiological characteristics of TB disease and provide a basis for the developing of control strategies.Method:The data of TB epidemic in Guangling District were statistic analyzed by descriptive epidemiology.Result:From 2010 to 2014,461 TB cases were reported in Guangling,with an average annual incidence rate of 41.55/100 000, which was decreasing at first and then had a stable trend.The age of patients was predominantly focused over 50 years age,accounting for 65.51%of the total incidence.The incidence of male(75.70%) were higher than female;The occupational distribution of the top four were farmers(205 cases,44.47%),retirees(106 cases,accounting for 22.99%),workers(62 cases,accounting for 13.45%),domestic chores and unemployed persons(34 cases,accounting for 7.38%). Conclusion:The TB incidence in Guangling District is in a relatively grim situation,we should focus on the high-risk population and enhance the propaganda by using modern tuberculosis control strategy,to further control the spread of TB.
