Anxiety and Nursing Intervention of Elderly Patients with Infusion in Outpatient Department

Abstract:Objective:To explore the anxiety emotion and the effect of nursing care in elderly patients with infusion.Method:One hundred and sixty-four elderly patients with infusion therapy from November 2014 to April 2015 in our hospital were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,82 cases in each group.The two groups of patients were given conventional nursing,while the observation group received additional intervention nursing, the anxiety of all patients before and 15 minutes before the end of the infusion were measured,analyzed and compared with Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS). Result:The difference had no statistic significant on the anxiety of the control group before and 15 minutes before the end of the infusion(P>0.05),the anxiety results 15 minutes before the end of the infusion were significantly improved compared with which before the infusion in the observation group,the difference was statistic significant(P<0.05).The difference between the two groups had no statistic significant before the infusion(P>0.05),while the results in the observation group were statistically better than the control group 15 minutes before the end of the infusion,the difference was statistic significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:There is a widespread problem of anxiety in elderly patients with infusion in outpatient department,which is a great influence on the treatment effect,while nursing intervention can effectively relieve the anxiety of patients,make them actively cooperated with the treatment,it is worthy of promoting.
