Clinical Curative Effect Observation of Traditional Chinese Massage in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese massage in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Method:Ninety patients with knee osteoarthritis admitted to our hospital from February 2013 to May 2015 were randomly divided into two groups,45 patients in each group.The control group was treated with Diclofenac Sodium Enteric-coated Tablets for oral administration and Guyouling liniment for external use.The experimental group was treated with knee three-step method of traditional Chinese massage.The clinical efficacy and WOMAC changes before and after the treatment between the two groups were observed and compared.Result:After 3 courses of treatment,the total effective rate of the experimental group was 93.3%(42/45),which was higher than 75.6%(34/45) of the control group,the difference was statistic significant(P<0.05).The difference had no statistic significant on the socres of WOMAC in each indexes between the two groups before the treatment(P>0.05),and the scores of above indexes of both two groups were improved after treatment,while those of the experimental group were better than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Using the traditional Chinese massage for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis has a definite therapeutic effect,which can effectively reduce the pain of patients,it can be used as an effective physical therapy in clinical practice.
