Clinical Observation of Tiotropium Combined with Seretide in the Treatment of Refractory Asthma

Abstract：Objective:To compare the efficiency of Tiotropium combined with Seretide(50/500) and Aminophylline combined with Seretide(50/500) on patients with refractory asthma.Method:Tirty-six patients with refractory asthma hospitalized in our hospital from January 2013 to May 2015 were selected and divided into the therapy group and the control group according to the random number table,18 patients in each group.The therapy group was treated with Tiotropium combined with Seretide(50/500) and the cotrol group with Aminophylline combined with Seretide(50/500) for 2 weeks.The clinical symptoms and pulmonary function before and after the treatment were observed.Result:The clinical symptoms and pulmonary function of the two groups after treatment were both better than before,but the improvement of the therapy group was more pronounced than in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The treatment of Tiotropium combined with Seretide is a very effective way for patients with refractory asthma.
