Abstract:Objective:To discuss the influence of chemotherapy on glucose metabolism in patients with gastric cancer.Method:100 postoperative patients with gastric cancer were selected,of which 60 cases were treated with paclitaxel-based chemotherapy as the paclitaxel group, and 40 cases were treated with platinum-based chemotherapy as the platinum group. The data before and after chemotherapy of two groups were analyzed retrospectively. Result:The blood glucose of two groups were normal before chemotherapy(P>0.05),but the blood glucose after six cycles of chemotherapy of the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The rate of abnormal glucose of paclitaxel group was 41.7%,and the platinum group was 12.5%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Chemotherapy can increase blood glucose in patients with gastric cancer, and paclitaxel-based chemotherapy is common.
