Senile Intertrochanteric Fracture Treated with PFNA

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the clinical effect of proximal femoral nail(PFNA) and minimally invasive internal fixation in the treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures in elderly patients.Method:38 cases of elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture were divided into the observation group and the control group.The observation group was given PFNA and the control group was given PFN,indicators surgery,complications and hip function scores and so on of two groups were compared.Result:The amount of bleeding,operation time and average length of hospital stay in the observation group were significantly less than those of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in observation group(5.3%) and the control group(0) was not significantly different(P>0.05).Conclusion:Clinical effect of PFNA in the treatment of elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture is good,the patients with less trauma,and can help patients recover as soon as possible,it is worth of further promotion.
