Clinical Effect of Surgical Treatment for 52 Patients with Unstable Scapular Fracture

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of surgical treatment for 52 patients with unstable scapular fracture.Method:52 patients with unstable scapular fracture were treated by different operative approaches from September 2011 to September 2014,which were analyzed retrospectively, and the operation time,blood loss,fracture healing time,and the functional evaluation of shoulder joint were collected.Result:All cases had been followed up for 6-12 months,an average of (8.5±1.6)months.The operation time was 45-110 min,an average of (76.8±28.5)min;the blood loss was 150-500 ml,an average of (285.8±157.2)ml;and fracture healing time was 2-5 months,an average of (3.2±1.5)months.According to Hardegger standard,there were excellent of 31 cases,good of 14 cases,average of 5 cases and poor of 2 cases,with an excellent and good rate of 86.5%.All the other patients were timely healed in incision but one and no complications of blood vessel and nerve were observed.Conclusion:Good effect can be obtained by operation in the treatment of different types of unstable scapular fracture.
