Effect Evaluation on the Reduction of Error Rate of Taking Sputum Sample by Aged Patient with the Application of PDCA Circulation in the Quality Control Circle
Abstract：Objective:To improve the accuracy of test result through researching on the application of PDCA circulation on the reduction of error rate of taking sputum sample by aged patient of Respiratory Medicine.Method:224 sputum samples of aged in-patient(age≥60 years old) was investigated and analysized as the control group of Respiratory Medicine from January to May 2014 which was taking condition,265 sputum samples were treated as research group of Respiratory Medicine from June to October 2014 which were required to be taken by aged in-patient with application of PDCA circulation method,which need find reason and make countermeasures towards the issue of high error rate of taking sputum sample,carried out intervention and improved continually,enter into next circulation and compared the error rate of taking sputum sample of aged patient of the two groups.Result:The error rate of sputum sample with the PDCA circulation was lower than the control group distinctively,the difference had the statistic meaning(P<0.05).Conclusion:PDCA circulation could reduce the error rate of taking sputum sample of aged patient and improve the quality of sputum sample effectively which could ensure the accuracy of test result.
