Impact Study of Rehabilitation Therapy in the Physical and Mental Recovery and Life Quality of Paraplegia Patients

Abstract:Objective:To study the impacts of rehabilitation therapy in the physical and mental recovery and life quality of paraplegia patients. Method:66 traumatic paraplegia patients treated from June 2012 to February 2015 in our hospital were selected and all the patients received the rehabilitation therapy like oral drugs,acupuncture,massage,physiotherapy,rehabilitation exercise,etc.The clinical efficacy after treatment was observed.Based on Barthel index,the impact of rehabilitation in the physical and mental recovery and life quality of paraplegia patients and the scores of depression and anxiety was evaluated.Result:There were 51 effective cases,9 improved cases and 6 invalid cases.Barthel index and SAS,SDS after treatment was significantly higher than before(P<0.05).The physical and mental recovery and life quality of paraplegia patients was greatly better than before.Conclusion:The rehabilitation therapy can significantly improve the life quality of paraplegia patients and have the obvious effect in the physical and mental recovery. It is worthy of extensive promotion in clinical practices.
